Join Hacking Child Protection -a Global TechSprint to protect children on the Internet

According to statistics, 1 in 10 children is sexually victimized before the age of 18. In 2021 alone, 29.3 million cases of suspected child exploitation were reported.

This summer, GeoComply will be hosting “Hacking Child Protection”, a Global TechSprint in collaboration with the Child Rescue Coalition that aims to protect children and fight online harassment with technology. If you are a developer, programmer, designer, or innovative tech thinker of any kind, this is your opportunity to leverage your skills for social good and help stop preventable tragedies. Six finalist teams will be shortlisted to participate in the Demo Day livestream and share their innovative prototypes with global audiences.

Previously, on June 2, 2022, GeoComply in collaboration with VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) donated 170,000,000 VND to Brighter Path Girls’ Club (BPGC) program. With the donation from GeoComply, the program will be able to operate an additional after-school Girls’ Club to provide education in financial literacy, sexual and reproductive health, legal rights, and leadership skills for 40 rural ethnic minority female students during one school year in Tra Vinh province.

After the TechSprint, Vina Capital Foundation and GeoComply will continue to organize a workshop for ethnic minority girls from Brighter Path Girls’ Club to let them know how to protect themselves on the Internet.

Why You Should Join the TechSprint:
👔 Mentorship opportunities from tech, nonprofit, and law enforcement leaders;
💸 Cash prizes worth $10,000 for the top 3 teams;
⚡The chance to create technology that changes lives!
