With the cooperation of VNG, VCF can preserve the lives and livelihoods of those with serious COVID-19 complications and ensure that the poor children will not face any academic interruptions as a result of the lack of basic communications equipment, the cost of which is far beyond their families’ financial capabilities,” states Rad Kivette, CEO of VinaCapital Foundation. “We hope to receive more support from the community to provide more essential equipment, ensure everyone’s safety, and provide education development tools for Vietnamese children, especially orphans, in these challenging times.”

VCF has engaged heavily in COVID-19 relief activities for 5 months providing over $1.2 million USD of ventilators for hospitals treating COVID-19 patients as well as personal protective equipment to protect thousands of frontline healthcare workers from the high risk of infection. VCF collaborates with the Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC to distribute medical equipment to the areas of most severe need. VCF also collaborated with the Youth Union to implement the “Grassroot Assistance Program” and the “Care to Rise” program to support vulnerable groups impacted by Covid-19 in HCMC, especially children. Through the programs, VCF donates 3 billion VND to the Youth Union and the Secretariat of Vietnam Youth Federation of HCMC to support vulnerable communities, frontline forces and disadvantaged children, especially orphans, in Ho Chi Minh City.
