In early 2021, Girls’ Clubs piloted in 2 ethnic boarding schools in Thai Nguyen province: Viet Bac Highland High School and Thai Nguyen Province Ethnic Boarding High School. The pilot proved the effectiveness and skill improvements as solid formula for the girls’ improvements and ensuring brighter futures. The Girls’ Club is an effective low-cost model to overcome social prejudice and outdated paternalistic customs – obstacles endure by ethnic girls in Vietnam every day. In 2022, Girls’ Clubs model is replicated to additional 11 ethnic high schools in Thai Nguyen and Tra Vinh province with over 2,000 disadvantaged ethnic minority high school female students benefiting from the replication.
