Once the rain subsides, the sky brightens. And a fresh start awaits the young ones who were born with congenital heart defects.

Little Quynh An leans on her mother’s shoulder during a follow-up appointment at Cho Ray Hospital.
Quynh An, a 2-year-old little girl from Hau Giang province, was one of the four children sponsored for surgery. When Quynh An was just three months old, her parents noticed her poor appetite, frequent fatigue, and difficulty breathing. They took her to the hospital and discovered that she had a congenital heart defect. With their unwavering love for their daughter, Quynh An’s parents always hoped that one day she could undergo surgery to heal her “ventricular septal defect” and lead a healthy life like her peers. However, despite their year-round hard work in farming, their monthly income of around 4 million VND was insufficient to afford the surgery. Fortune smiled upon Quynh An and her family when she received support from the Heartbeat Vietnam program, with funds from Austin Home Interiors through the Scars of Life event.

Thanh Loan – one of the four children, was waiting for her surgical schedule when the sponsors visited her at the hospital.
On the afternoon of December 12, the Heartbeat Vietnam program, along with representatives from Austin Home Interiors, came together to visit four young children undergoing treatment for congenital heart defects at Cho Ray Hospital. Now, with their hearts healed, a future full of hope has opened up for Quynh An and the remaining three children.

Representatives from Austin Home Interiors brought gifts for the children to encourage them.
We are deeply grateful to Austin Home Interiors for joining hands with us to provide life-saving surgeries to these children. Through the Scars of Life events, Austin Home Interiors’ invaluable contributions have played a vital role in funding surgeries and offering a fresh start to countless underprivileged children with congenital heart defects and their families. We believe that this journey will continue to extend, bringing love and care to many more little ones.
