Clean water is essential for treatment and improvement of the health condition of children patients, especially in the two departments of Oncology and Internal Medicine which normally have long-stay patients. While the Department of Oncology has up to 160 patients, the Internal Medicine department has 140. The current five water systems cannot meet the demand of a large number of patients, families and medical staff, especially in the hot weather.

Understanding this difficulty, Visa granted two filtration water systems valued at 6,000 USD (equivalent to 137 million VND) to the Oncology and Internal Medicine departments of the Pediatric Hospital 2. This project was implemented and supervised by VinaCapital Foundation. Those systems will supply daily drinking for up to 800 people, including children patients, families, nurses, and doctors of two departments.
