Happiness has a way of rippling outward. And for two young newlyweds, Hung Ta and Cassidy Tanner, that ripple began on the most important day of their lives. Instead of a traditional celebration, the couple chose to turn their wedding into a fundraising event in partnership with Heartbeat Vietnam, helping 15 children with congenital heart defects receive the treatment they need. What started as joy shared between two people soon became care and hope, flowing from one heart to another.

On February 2, 2026, when a sense of togetherness filled the city as the Lunar New Year drew near, Hung and Cassidy joined Heartbeat Vietnam in visiting children undergoing treatment at University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City. Small gifts and kind words were shared, bringing comfort and encouragement to the little heart warriors as the new year approached.

Reflecting on their decision, Hung and Cassidy shared: “We wanted our wedding to be meaningful beyond just us as a couple. Knowing that our celebration could help save children’s lives made the day even more special. Heartbeat Vietnam’s mission deeply resonated with our shared values of compassion and giving back. Instead of traditional gifts, we felt that giving children a chance at a healthy life was the best blessing we could share.”

Heartbeat Vietnam sincerely thanks Hung and Cassidy for taking the time to visit the children and for choosing to turn an important milestone in their lives into support for young hearts in need.
