We want a give a special thanks to Julie Ferne Memorial Trust for their continuous generosity.  This time they have helped us provide 10 pieces of life-saving equipment to Ho Chi Minh’s Children’s Hospital to help reduce neonatal mortality rate in Vietnam.

Neonatal mortality accounts for more than 60% of all deaths in children under five. These deaths could be prevented if medical staff were adequately trained to monitor the pregnancy, assist at childbirth, and provide post-natal care.

Our Survive to Thrive program aims to decrease infant mortality and reduce morbidities by improving the capacity for neonatal care in regional centers throughout Vietnam. The program includes:

  • Training Doctors to act fast to save a baby.
  • Equipment to assist the baby to survive until they are strong enough.
  • Train the trainer: teaching doctors to train others in neonatal procedures.
