On September 22, 2026, t Cao Loc Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School, the Lang Son Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with The VinaCapital Foundation (VCF), held the launch ceremony for Phase 2 of the Brighter Path Girls’ Clubs. The program is expanding to six additional schools across the province, bringing learning and skills development opportunities to more ethnic minority girls.

The Brighter Path Girls’ Clubs are an extracurricular initiative designed to empower ethnic minority girls. Club activities are organized and led by the girls themselves, with guidance and support from supervising teachers. Through shared learning, discussions, and practical activities, members gradually build confidence, develop leadership skills, and take a more active role in decisions about their education and lives.

Building on the program introduced in the province in 2025, Phase 2 extends the model to six additional schools, enabling more ethnic minority girls to access knowledge and develop essential skills:

  • Cao Loc Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School;
  • Loc Binh High School;
  • Loc Binh Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School;
  • Van Lang Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School;
  • Van Lang High School;
  • Dong Dang High School.

Club activities focus on four core topics: sexual and reproductive health, legal rights, financial literacy, and life skills. In Phase 2, clubs can also incorporate topics such as women and girls in STEM, digital skills, and other essential skills, depending on members’ needs and each school’s resources. This flexibility makes sessions more relevant to students’ interests while creating further opportunities for them to discover their strengths and explore their personal development goals.

Each club is equipped with a multimedia learning space featuring a computer, television, speakers, microphones, and a 360-degree camera, enabling members to access learning materials, study independently, find information, and participate in online activities. VCF also provides operating funds throughout the three-year project to support the model’s sustainability.

As part of Phase 2, the project is awarding 30 scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year to 30 girls across the six participating schools who face financial hardship and have demonstrated determination and strong academic performance. These scholarships encourage them to continue their education and personal development.

In partnership with the Lang Son Department of Education and Training and participating school leadership teams, and with support from sponsors KMS Technology, Victoria’s Secret & Co., Home Credit Vietnam, and Kotex, a brand of Kimberly-Clark Vietnam, VCF continues to expand opportunities for ethnic minority girls to gain knowledge, understand and protect their rights, and pursue their education with confidence. The program also encourages members to share what they learn with friends and families, helping advance gender equality and bring about positive change in their communities.
