KMS Technology Vietnam, in collaboration with VinaCapital Foundation (VCF), has officially handed over five clean water filtration systems to kindergartens and primary schools in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province in March 28th,2025. This initiative aims to provide safe drinking water for disadvantaged children, improve sanitation in schools, and enhance overall public health in this rural region of Vietnam. This project is part of KMS Technology’s $350,000 contribution to VinaCapital Foundation, supporting healthcare and education programs for underprivileged children and women across Vietnam.

Thanh Phu is a coastal district in Ben Tre province, located in the Mekong Delta. The region is heavily reliant on agriculture and aquaculture, with a dense network of rivers and canals, including branches of the Tien River. However, like many areas in the Mekong Delta, Thanh Phu faces a severe clean water crisis, exacerbated by saltwater intrusion, seasonal droughts, and limited water purification infrastructure. These challenges make access to clean drinking water a critical issue for local communities.

Five clean water filtration systems were installed at 3 kindergartens and 2 primary schools in the local area, allowing 1,773 students and 131 school staff in 5 kindergartens and primary schools to drink clean water directly from the water taps at schools:

  • Dai Dien Kindergarten
  • An Nhon Kindergarten
  • Thanh Phu Kindergarten
  • An Thanh Elementary School
  • Tan Phong Elementary School

In addition, the Clean Water program includes hygiene education, teaching children about the importance of clean water and proper sanitation practices through fun interactive sessions.

By ensuring access to clean water, this initiative will help reduce waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid fever, and E. coli infections, improving overall health and enhancing educational opportunities for disadvantaged children. Additionally, students are encouraged to bring clean water home, benefiting their families and communities.

“Clean water changes lives by improving health, enhancing education, and empowering communities. Every child deserves safe drinking water, and together, we can create a future where no one is left behind. We are grateful for KMS Technology’s support in making this vision a reality,” shared Mr. Rad Kivette, CEO.
