During the Creative Arts Therapy psychosocial support session for children with cancer organized by Can-Clover at Children’s Hospital 2 on July 22, young patients expressed themselves through colorful masks and paintings. At the same time, parents had the opportunity to slow down, create personalized name plaques, and write heartfelt messages to one another.

Dang Vinh painted a vibrant Amazon rainforest filled with lush green tree, flowers, and grassy fields, all brought to life through his imagination.

H. Phuc created a heart divided into two halves – one dedicated to his father and the other to his mother – beautifully expressing his love for both parents.

For Bao Chau, her father’s love took on a special form. He carefully transformed her name plaque into a beautiful piece of artwork and wrote a heartfelt poem just for his little princess. That simple gift brought smiles to both father and daughter.

The greatest gift these Creative Arts Therapy sessions hope to offer is not simply the paintings or masks that children take home. More importantly, they provide a safe space for children to express their thoughts and emotions in their own way, explore their creativity, and strengthen the bond with their families. A painting, a mask, or a heartfelt note can become a bridge that helps children and parents communicate, connect, and better understand one another, especially during a cancer journey that places significant emotional strain on both young patients and their caregivers.

Can-Clover sincerely thanks KMS Technology Vietnam and Ms. Nguyen Huong Linh, Master’s degree holder in Art Therapy, for their generous support and partnership. Their contribution has helped create meaningful moments of creativity, connection, and comfort for children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
