On June 6, 2025 – VinaCapital Foundation’s Survive to Thrive program donated 21 essential neonatal medical equipment to two district-level medical centers in Dak R’lap and Dak G’long districts, Dak Nong province. In addition to the donation, the program organized an intensive neonatal emergency resuscitation training course for healthcare staff in the two districts. The total value of the support is VND 476 million, funded by the sponsors of Survive to Thrive Dinner event and The Parent Joint Stock Company (Parentinc).

According to Vietnam’s General Statistics Office, in 2023, Dak Nong recorded an infant mortality rate of 19.5 per thousand and an under-five mortality rate of 29.28 per thousand – among the highest in the country. In response to this situation, the Survive to Thrive program aims to support Dak Nong province by easing the burden on district-level healthcare facilities while enhancing their capacity to care for and save newborns – particularly those born prematurely, with low birth weight, or suffering from postnatal complications.

Through the provision of modern equipment and professional training, the Survive to Thrive program hopes to contribute to reducing the neonatal mortality rate in Dak Nong province and offer better chances for a healthy start and brighter future for children in highland areas.
