On August 6 and 7, 2025, a “Neonatal Emergency Resuscitation” training course was held at Tuy Duc Regional Medical Center, attended by 39 doctors, nurses, and midwives from various departments, wards, and commune health stations in the Tuy Duc area.

The training focused on essential skills for resuscitating and providing emergency care to newborns immediately after birth—crucial for enabling grassroots healthcare units to respond quickly and provide timely support for newborns in critical situations.

In addition to theoretical lessons, participants practiced on newborn manikins under the dedicated guidance of lecturers from Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children.

Tuy Duc Regional Medical Center is among the healthcare units located in one of the 74 poor districts for the 2021–2025 period, as designated by the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 353/QĐ-TTg. The center not only serves local residents but also provides treatment for many patients from Cambodia. Therefore, the Survive to Thrive Program aims to strengthen the center’s professional capacity, enabling it to better meet local healthcare needs and reduce the burden on higher-level hospitals.
