On June 19 and 20, 2025, a specialized training program on Neonatal Resuscitation and Emergency Care took place at the Dak Rlap District Medical Center (DMC). The program attracted 43 medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and midwives, from both the Dak Rlap and Dak G’long DMCs.

This training was organized immediately after the two centers received 21 pieces of medical equipment donated through Survive to Thrive program. Over the two days, participants were updated on essential knowledge regarding neonatal resuscitation and support, fundamental newborn care, and the screening and management of neonatal medical emergencies.

Additionally, they practiced crucial skills such as CPAP, ambu bag, and intubation kit. All these sessions were directly instructed by an experienced team of doctors and nurses from City Children’s Hospital.
The Survive to Thrive project in Dak Nong aims to enhance the professional capacity of local medical units, especially in the province’s disadvantaged districts. Through this, the project not only contributes to improving the quality of healthcare for children but also reduces the rate of unnecessary patient transfers to higher-level medical facilities, bringing practical benefits to the community.
