Previously, on May 17, 2024, Trung Son Pharma and VCF officially signed a memorandum of understanding to implement the “For Tomorrow’s Heartbeat” project. Specifically, the “For Tomorrow’s Heartbeat” project, sponsored by Trung Son Pharma with a total value of 500 million VND, will focus on the following activities:
- From May 2024 to November 2024, conducted three heart screening trips for 2,500 children in remote areas of the Mekong Delta region, including Kien Giang, Soc Trang, and Tra Vinh provinces.
- Providing heart surgeries for six disadvantaged children diagnosed with congenital heart defects.
- In addition, Trung Son Pharma will also launch an online marathon competition from June 2024 to August 2024, with the aim of fundraising and community participation to support the “For Tomorrow’s Heartbeat” project.

In Kien Giang province, on May 31, 2024, and June 1, 2024, Trung Son Pharma, in coordination with VCF, organized congenital heart defects screenings for children in Vinh Thuan, An Minh, Chau Thanh, and Tan Hiep districts. Information and profiles of disadvantaged children requiring immediate intervention or surgery would be transferred to VCF’s Heartbeat Vietnam program and partners for priority support in free heart surgeries.

Mr. Huynh Bao Thuan, Deputy General Director of Trung Son Pharma, shared: “In over 26 years of establishment and development, with the desire to improve community health, Trung Son Pharma has always made efforts to implement practical programs for vulnerable groups in society. We believe that the collaboration with VinaCapital Foundation in the ‘For Tomorrow’s Heartbeat’ project will help children in remote districts of the Mekong Delta region have better access to healthcare. Through free heart screenings, these children will be detected and treated early for cardiovascular issues.”

Mr. Rad Kivette, CEO of VinaCapital Foundation, stated: “In Vietnam, around 15,000 children are born with congenital heart defects each year. Early detection and diagnosis play a crucial role in improving medical outcomes and providing children from rural areas the chance to live, dream, and thrive. VCF’s mission is to improve the lives of underprivileged children and their mothers, by creating programs that save lives and transform families and communities. We are honored to have the support of Trung Son Pharma on this journey to help children in the Mekong Delta region. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Kien Giang Province Association for the Poor Patients and Tam Duc Heart Hospital for assisting us in the implementation of this project in Kien Giang province.”

According to the project’s upcoming plans, Trung Son Pharma and VCF will continue to organize congenital heart defect screening trips for children in Tra Vinh province in September 2024 and Soc Trang province in November 2024.
