The American School donates 117 million dongs to Heartbeat Vietnam to help save children with congenital heart defects

Through the fundraising campaign TAS Heartbeat Bazaar 2023, students, parents, teachers, and staff of The American School (TAS) have donated over 117 million VND to VinaCapital Foundation’s (VCF) Heartbeat Vietnam program to help sponsor heart surgeries for disadvantaged children.

The American School was founded in 2010 as a private and international Early Childhood to Grade 12 college preparatory school. Their goal is to educate the whole child incorporating mind, body, and spirit. From 2014 until May 2023, the funds from TAS helped over 60 children receive free heart treatment. Every year, TAS hosts fundraising activities with the participation of all students from kindergarten to Grade 12 and teachers. TAS’s annual activities aim to raise awareness about congenital heart defects, the Heartbeat Vietnam program, and raise funds to support surgery costs for disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects.
