More than 10,000 passionate runners joined RUN FOR THE HEART 2018 on Sunday morning of December 16th to help raise fund for children suffering from congenital heart defects. The charity run attracted students from many universities and young professionals from HCM-based companies and organizations. This was also a fun time for families in Celadon neighborhood to enjoy the weekend and give back to the community.
RUN FOR THE HEART has the honor to welcome the Malaysia General Consul, the leaders from Ho Chi Minh city, Tan Phu district, Gamuda Land Vietnam, and The VinaCapital Foundation. Heartbeat Vietnam sincerely thanks all sponsors, celebrities, and runners who joined RUN FOR THE HEART journey of saving more children in the remaining days of 2018 and throughout 2019.
Since 2013, RUN FOR THE HEART annual charity events, a joint effort between Gamuda Land Vietnam and Heartbeat Vietnam, have raised over 850,000 USD to provide heart surgeries for 710 children. With 200,000 USD in additional funds raised in 2018, 181 more children will be saved. For the majority of them, this will be the first time in life their health gets better.
We hope the next RUN FOR THE HEART events will receive wider support from the community for more beloved children will be saved from congenital heart defects.
