On 6th July, artists Jun Phạm and Liên Bỉnh Phát visited the children with congenital heart defects at the University Medical Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Jun Pham & Lien Binh Phat participated in the Fire Wall gameshow at the end of 2019 and donated all of their awards to Heartbeat Vietnam. In January 2020, the two artists’ donations helped two children have their life-saving surgeries.
Joining Heartbeat Vietnam for the first time, Lien Binh Phat said that the opportunity to bring him to the program was through Jun Pham’s invitation as well as his own wish to contribute to society through good foundations. Today, witnessing two small hearts being revived, Lien Binh Phat touchingly expressed: “I hope to somehow lift the burden for families who have children with congenital heart defects so that they do not feel alone on this journey. I would like to also call for the community’s support even from the smallest donations because our children are the future of the country.”
Jun Pham has been a Heartbeat Vietnam’s companion for over 10 years and his donations have saved 33 children. Although he has been to the hospital many times, every trip is filled with emotions. Donating to Heartbeat Vietnam in hope of saving lives, he shared: “Through the Scar of Life event as well as the contribution to Heartbeat Vietnam, Jun hopes to continue to call for more benefactors, especially among the artists, to donate so that we can join hands to bring a better future to more children; and I wish families with children with congenital heart defects to have faith and not give up hope.”
VinaCapital Foundation is truly grateful for the love and incredible support of artists like Lien Binh Phat and Jun Pham. Hopefully, in the near future, the artists will continue to accompany VCF to bring the opportunity to live healthy for more children across Vietnam.
