Understanding that mental well-being is also an important part of recovery, FedEx wishes to provide emotional support for children with congenital heart defects through their annual FedEx Cares activities which is part of the worldwide charitable program. This year’s activity saw 26 FedEx Express Vietnam team members extending their support and care to young patients by painting the walls and playing fun games and giving gifts to the young patients at Children’s Hospital 2 HCMC.

Moreover, FedEx distributed care packages containing masks, hand sanitizers, and gifts to the young patients and their family members in support of precautionary measures against COVID-19. Hopefully, the adorable paintings and gifts will bring joy to the kids and their families, acting as a strong relief for the children during the treatment process.

The collaboration between FedEx and VinaCapital Foundation includes the FedEx Delivers Heartbeats program, which began in 2011 and has provided cardiac care to more than 170,000 children through 518 mobile clinic visits to 47 provinces across Vietnam. In quickly identifying pediatric cardiac patients, the program can help save thousands of lives by placing the children on the national cardiac surgery waiting list and arrangements are made so they get post-operative care that does not include costly and long trips to hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang or Hanoi.

Thank you, FedEx for always accompanying us on this incredible journey of bringing hope and joy across the country. Let’s keep working together to bring smiles to the hearts of children with congenital heart defects and we cannot wait to save more lives with you!
