Hands Over Medical and Educational Gifts in Quang Nam Province

Quang Nam – May 23^rd, 2018, Hoi An South Development Ltd. (HASD) in cooperation with VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) hands over medical and educational gifts to the communities of Duy Hai and Duy Nghia ward, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province.

The 50,000 USD donation from HASD is distributed to medical equipment for the Commune Health Center of Duy Hai, two computer rooms for Ngo Quyen and Nguyen Van Troi secondary schools, and four clean water systems for kindergartens and elementary schools. These facilities have been installed and are ready to use since the beginning of 2018.

In particular, the Commune Health Center of Duy Hai ward receives new medical equipment including ultrasound, an electrocardiogram machine, 10 modern patient beds, 10 new cabinets, 3 storage cabinets, and a package for public health education including a laptop, projector, and screen. The Commune Health Center currently serves 7,000 people in the Duy Hai ward. Meanwhile, 800 students of Ngo Quyen and Nguyen Van Troi secondary schools will get technology and vocational training in the two new computer rooms with access to the internet.

New clean water systems with power from 50 to 125 liters per hour will supply daily drinking for 1,330 students and teachers of four kindergartens and elementary schools in Duy Hai and Duy Nghia. Instead of purchasing 15 – 20 bottles of water every day, these schools can save funds for other education needs from now on. Purified water is essential to maintain good health for all students and staffs.

Mr. Rad Kivette, CEO of VinaCapital Foundation states that VCF and HASD will expand this community building program to Thang Binh ward, which is one of two locations of the Hoi An South Integrated Resort. “Thanks to HASD support, VCF will constantly contribute to the development of the community in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province saving and improving lives of children and adults,” he says.
