On the afternoon of May 18, 2022, SpaceSpeakers Group raises funds for VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) and Heartbeat Vietnam program by auctioning exclusive merchandise for Binz’s “Don’t Break My Heart” project. The donation from the sale of a leather jacket valued at 350 million VND will help to provide life-saving heart surgeries for 12 poor children across the country and bring a brighter future to their families.

On the 14th of March 2022, Binz released the “Don’t Break My Heart” music video together with the merchandise collection to promote his new project. The collection includes many fashionable products such as T-shirts, hats, scarves, and socks, but the most notable are three Leather Varsity Jackets starting at 100 million VND each. SpaceSpeakers Group and Binz cooperate with VCF and Heartbeat Vietnam in the “Don’t Break My Heart” Merchandise Revenue Donation project to donate all the revenue from these 3 jackets to help save the lives of disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects.

After 2 months, the project successfully raised 350 million VND for Heartbeat Vietnam by selling the first jacket. Mr. Nguyen Dac Van, a benefactor who has accompanied Heartbeat Vietnam for many years, shared information about the project on his personal Facebook page. Thanks to that, Mr. Phan Cong Khanh, a businessman who is always enthusiastic about charitable activities, knew about the program and became the first person to own a leather jacket to support the project. SpaceSpeakers Group immediately transferred the donation to Heartbeat Vietnam to promptly provide heart surgery for 12 disadvantaged children and help them soon have healthy hearts. The two remaining jackets are continuing to be auctioned to raise more funds, saving more children’s lives.

The revenue from leather jacket sales supports the heart surgery fund for poor children is also and harmonizes with the message from the song “Don’t Break My Heart” by Binz. Binz shares his broken-heartedness and how his heart has healed now. This popular artist is spreading positive energy to adult couples in love. But Binz also wants to bring joy and hope to children whose hearts are in desperate need of healing.

SpaceSpeakers Group’s representative shares: “All artists and the crew of SpaceSpeakers Group always put the focus on setting the music value together with charitable activities. Instead of just donating cash, we aim to use music to connect the community and create material value to help those in need overcome difficulties. By doing that, the disadvantaged community will get support in both material and spiritual aspects. That’s why the “We’re by your side” concert, “Muzik Dap Dich” campaign, and the heart surgery fund from the “Don’t Break My Heart” project were born.”

“I want to express my deepest respect and appreciation for the trust and contribution of SpaceSpeakers Group, Artist Binz, Mr. Nguyen Dac Van, Mr. Phan Cong Khanh, and other supporters of the “Don’t Break My Heart” donation project to our organization. This is an act of real love by saving little hearts and strengthening poor families,” states Mr. Rad Kivette – CEO of VinaCapital Foundation. “VCF and Heartbeat Vietnam have recently reached the milestone of saving the lives of 9,000 poor children with congenital heart defects across the country. This milestone could never be achieved without the support and partnership of philanthropists such as the “Don’t Break My Heart” project benefactors, SpaceSpeakers Group and Binz. We hope that this meaningful project will inspire the community to join hands with us to heal more little hearts and help change the lives of many thousands more children in Vietnam who need our help.”

Since its inception, Heartbeat Vietnam has provided more than 9,000 life-saving heart surgeries, 773 Continuing Care packages to be able to visit the hospital for check-ups and follow-ups, 696 Grants for families to have more resources to take care of their children, and 232 Scholarships for bright students to maintain their education. Heartbeat Vietnam schedules 80 – 100 rural outreach clinics a year and has screened over 250,000 rural children and found over 10,000 children with congenital heart defects. These children will suffer and perish in their teens most often if they do not receive immediate health care.
