In 2006, the VinaCapital Foundation was established with the mission of improving the lives of marginalized children and women in Vietnam. Our journey began with the flagship program “Heartbeat Vietnam,” which sponsors life-saving surgeries for disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects. After 18 years of dedicated operation in Vietnam, VCF has expanded to encompass seven programs in healthcare and education, contributing to a future where all children and women are healthy, educated, and have opportunities for development.

On a recent Tuesday, Mr. Don Lam, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VinaCapital Foundation, along with the VCF team, visited the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the City Children’s Hospital. This visit provided an opportunity to meet with the young beneficiaries of the Heartbeat Vietnam program. Through encouragement and the delivery of small gifts filled with love to the families, the visit created a warm and joyful atmosphere, providing additional strength to the children and their families in their battle against illness.

As of April 2024, with the support of donors and hospital partners, the Heartbeat Vietnam program has sponsored free heart surgeries for over 10,800 children. We firmly believe that this journey will continue to expand, allowing us to help many more children in need to have healthier hearts and better lives.
