The “2020 Run For The Hearts” donors and the Heartbeat Vietnam program visit heart children in City Children’s Hospital

On April 26th, representatives of Gamuda Land Vietnam, Sunlight Electrical Vietnam, and the Heartbeat Vietnam program visited 11 children with congenital heart defects who have been supported to have their life-saving heart surgeries through the 2020 “Run for The Hearts” virtual charity run organized by Gamuda Land and Heartbeat Vietnam with the aim of raising funds to fund heart surgery for poor children across the country, bringing healthier lives and brighter futures for them.

Being initiated since 2013 by Gamuda Land Vietnam, after 8 consecutive years of operation, the program has raised more than 35 billion VND (1.5 million USD) fund to help over 1,300 children receiving free heart surgeries. The main charity-run event also has huge support from the community with an average of 10,000 – 15,000 people joining each year, including thousands of students, workers as well as many families in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2020, Run For The Heart partnered with Vietrace365, one of the most popular online virtual race platforms in the running community of Vietnam to offer “the racecourses” nationwide. The campaign has successfully raised 3,213,523,788 VND (140,841 USD) equivalent to nearly 115 congenital heart children that will be sponsored for free surgery.
