VUS donates 500,000,000 VND to the Heartbeat Vietnam program to support heart surgeries for disadvantaged children

On June 26, the Amazing Running Day – a special sport event for parents & SuperKids students (aged from 6 to 11 years old) hosted by VUS – Anh văn Hội Việt Mỹ officially took place. In addition to the joy and innocence of childhood, students and their parents also spread the positive values ​​of love and connection when overcoming a more than 1000m of challenging run and joining hands with VUS in providing life-saving heart operations for disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects.

At the event, VUS’s Executive Director Ms. Quach Nguyen Kim Hang shared: “The participation of families on Amazing Running Day had borne a significant meaning to thousands of disadvantaged children fighting with congenital heart diseases, still waiting for surgeries that could possibly save their lives. With each running step strengthening one weakened heart, we hope this event will set the foundation upon which communities nationwide can begin to give back, all in the spirit of the run’s core message “Happy Miles – Stronger Hearts.”

“We are extremely proud to have cooperated with VUS in fundraising for children suffering from heart diseases via Heartbeat Vietnam,” shared Mr. Rad Kivette, CEO of VinaCapital Foundation. “Each child among the last 9000 surgeries has had their individual, unique backstory. We take pride in knowing that VUS has taken the initiative to channel these stories today. This will be a new turning point in the lives of numerous Vietnamese households having children plagued with these congenital defects. Thank you VUS,” he continued.

Participating kids in the event also created numerous heartwarming notes toward their less fortunate, suffering peers, many carrying messages such as, “I wish you good health and a good life.”; “May you have healthy hearts”, and “Everything will be fine” at VUS’s giant heart construction.

In particular, these loving messages from the students in the Amazing Running Day event will be sent to the children supported through the program.
