XM donates 1,000 USD to support disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects

On May 17, 2023, the Heartbeat Vietnam program and the representatives of XM visited Kha Han, a little angel who recently received sponsorship for her congenital heart defect surgery and is being treated at the University Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City.

Kha Han, born in Ca Mau province in 2021, was identified with congenital heart defects at the age of six months. In May 2023, Kha Han was checked at the University Medical Center and diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. She needed to be hospitalized right away for surgery to save her life. However, the surgery cost of 150,000,000 VND was too much to afford as the family of five is living on an irregular income from their fishing profession. Every time they took Kha Han to the hospital, her parents had to save up for a long time or borrow from their neighbors.

To help Kha Han heal her little heart, XM has contributed $1,000 alongside other partners of the Heartbeat Vietnam program to sponsor her life-saving surgery. After the successful surgery, Kha Han is still being monitored and treated at the hospital until her health becomes more stable. However, the little girl is recovering well and her health has improved significantly. Heartbeat Vietnam sincerely thanks the XM team for their valuable contributions that helped save Kha Han’s life and bring a better future for her and her family.
