Hills 4 Hearts #3: fundraiser to build a neo-natal ICU in Cha Val commune, Nam Giang district.
This will now be our 3rd annual fundraiser to install much-needed neo-natal equipment in some of the poorest provinces of Vietnam. I will be running a marathon on 25 February 2023 and all funds raised will go to building a neo-natal ICU in Cha Val commune, Nam Giang district, Quang Nam Vietnam.
In previous years we have provided this much-needed equipment for Yen Bai province (Read more) and Nam Tra My.
- On Feb 28, 2020, we handed over the donation of 10,605 USD in neonatal care equipment to Van Yen Commune Health Center
- On March 10, 2022, the donation of USD 10,120 in neonatal care equipment was handed over to the neonatal unit of Nam Tra My district hospital
We encourage all to join and run, walk, cycle, hop skip or jump any distance you want from anywhere in the world. Last year we had over 150 people participate from over 15 countries, and we hope to do better this year!
Please share with your friends, family, and coworkers as we need all the support we can get to reach our goal. If you would like to register for the run please email your name, distance you will run, and country to laureyjordan@outlook.com, or for more information visit: www.hills4hearts.org
Thank you all kindly,
Phil & Laurey.
On May 22, 2023, Hills 4 Hearts campaign and VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) provide 5 pieces of essential neonatal equipment and a 2-day intensive training in neonatal emergency resuscitation for doctors and nurses at Cha Val Regional General Clinic in Quang Nam province through the Survive to Thrive program. The medical equipment includes one continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, infant warmer, intubation kit, patient monitor, and portable phlegm suction unit.
In previous years, Hills 4 Hearts provided 7 much-needed pieces of neonatal care equipment for Van Yen Medical Center, Yen Bai province, and Nam Tra My District Hospital, Quang Nam province. This year, the fundraising campaign Hills 4 Heart #3 began on February 25, 2023, and successfully raised 10,000 USD to build a new neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Cha Val Commune, Nam Giang District, Quang Nam Province.
VCF and the Survive to Thrive program would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Phil Jordan and his family for their unremitting efforts and great contributions to helping our children and mothers in Vietnam. With the wonderful support from Phil and Hills 4 Hearts, the Survive to Thrive program will continue to protect thousands of children and families from preventable deaths and provide those benefits for generations to come.
